History: The Red Plains Rider at the TAH wiki
Personality: The Red Pains Rider is a very stubborn woman. She’s also not the kind of woman to take any grief from anyone. She’s also not afraid to let her guns speak for her if the need arises. Red’s also not about to back down from a fight, especially if her friends are in it.
Red is also a very conflicted woman. She doesn’t feel quite at home with the humans living on mars, nor does she feel fully at home with the native Martians. She never did know her human family, but was accepted as a member of the same tribe of Martians that Croach the Tracker came from. She’s also rather conflicted when it comes to her love life. Before she met Cactoid Jim, Red was with Croach the Tracker, but left him due to his lack of emotions. She then spent some time with Sparks Nevada, but left him as well. After an unknown amount of time, she spent more time with the both of them to try and figure out who she wanted to give a second chance to. At first, she chose Sparks, but after seeing how childish he acted, she decided to give Croach another chance. When that didn’t work out (they were physically incompatible), Sparks introduced Red to Cactoid Jim, whom she fell in love with and eventually married. Similar to Sparks’ emotional unavailability, Red seems to have a problem staying in relationships. After marrying Cactoid Jim, he had to divorce her. In order to save his life, and the life of the remaining crew of a USSA starship, she had to kill a child that had been bitten by a Murder Man. If she didn’t do that, then they would have all either died, or became Murder Men themselves. After her marriage ended, she got back together with Sparks Nevada, but ended up leaving him again. Red’s said that she still loves Cactoid Jim on several occasions, but she has yet to go back to him.
Red’s also been described as one of Mars’ best heroes by Sparks Nevada and several others. She’s the kind of woman who won’t back down from a fight and won’t hesitate to start one of it needs to be started. Red is also the kind of woman to listen to her head over her heart. When she found Cactoid Jim on the USSA starship and learned what had happened, she made the choice to kill a child (that happened to be the captain’s daughter) so that he didn’t have to and could continue to run for President of Earth.
There are few things that will make Red loose her cool, aside from Sparks Nevada being an idiot. The big thing is that she’s highly claustrophobic. She got nervous going into a cave system to save Croach from giant spiders and completely freaked out when she got strung up in a giant spider’s web and couldn’t get herself free. She almost wasn’t able to hold a conversation with Sparks and Croach about who she preferred to be with. She almost went into hysterics, but barely kept control of herself in order to get freed.
Third-Person Sample: Red was not amused at all. This wasn't Mars at all and these certainly weren't the clothes that she went to sleep in. The creature that she was stuck with just kept making her angrier and angrier. At least she was able to get her regular clothing back.
"Now look here, Critter."
"I am a Moogle, not a 'critter'. My name is Rawa," the creature said, looking over her clothing. "You look nothing like a Chocobo Knight, Red Plains Rider."
"That's cause I ain't no Chocowhatever knight. I am The Red Plains Rider. I ride tha plains of Mars. Rightin' outlaw wrongs and all that," she muttered. She didn't like this Moogle, or whatever it was.
"A Chocobo is.." "Look here, critter," "Rawa." "I don't care what it is. I just want ta get back ta Mars.
"I'm afraid that is not possible."
Red didn't wait to hear what Rawa had to say and walked off. She didn't want to hear the rest of what he was going to say. She was far to angry to listen to whatever else he said. She wasn't sure if she would ever want to hear what he had to say.
